Based in Australia’s World Heritage Blue Mountains region, west of Sydney, JAH Media also trading as  FILMCLASS Pictures & 3Sisters.TV is a Production House offering a range of film production services including Pre Production, Production and Post Production for Commercials, Documentary and Feature Film

Through an affiliation with 3 Sisters Youth Theatre we also offer FILM COURSES where students have the opportunity to learn all aspects of filmaking from acting to producing and everything in between. Students have the opportunity to learn a variety of filmaking skills whilst working on webseries, short film and feature films giving them on the job training which in turn gives them content for their showreels and CV’s.

NICK A’HERN started his Film and Television career in 1987 by producing a range of educational programs for the “How To” market. Since this time Nick has focused mainly on Lifestyle and Documentary and more recently Drama. 2 of his documentaries have been sold to the ABC, BBC and History Channel there is are 3 currently in production.

Nick has recently been sponsored by Canon, Black Magic Design, Sennheiser, Kayell Lighting and The John Barry Group for a documentary that looks at the 5 decades of Australian Iconic Cinema legacy.

 

 

ACTOR   DIRECTOR   PRODUCER

JOANNE SAMUEL is best known for her role as the screen wife of Mel Gibson in the 1979 movie Mad Max.

Prior to her staring role in the film, Joanne had made guest appearances in TV police shows, MatlockPolice and  Homocide. She was also a regular cast   member in a variety of soap operas, including Class of 74, The Sullivans, Young Doctors and Skyways. Joanne later starred in Hey Dad as Jeanette Taylor and All Saints, and played the school principal in the Wiggles Movie and more recently in ABC’s Rake.

Joanne is a long time advocate for the arts education for children. She has taught drama for many years and is the founder and director of 3 Sisters Youth Theatre. Joanne has been directing both on stage and screen and directed her first feature film The Five in 2018.

JESS A’HERN has worked in media, music, theatre and entertainment for the past decade with a rich and varied background in production, event management, tour and talent management as well as music performance.

Holding a bachelor and post graduate degree in music from the Aiustralian Institute of Music, Jesse has had the opportunity to lear from the best in the industry. During this time Jesse has developed a strong passion for Musical Theatre and worked in a number of different roles, both on stage and off, at ATYP,, Sydney Opera House and Sydney Theatre Company.

Since 2017 Jesse has produced the feature film Christmas Down Under and in 2018 produced The Five a feature film shot on location in the Blue Mountains Australia

 

 

 

SOUND ENGINEER   PRODUCER

ROSS A’HERN has decades of experience in live engineering, studio recording, mixing and classical broadcast, giving him valuable breadth of understanding for capturing live performances. He has recorded an unparalleled discography of works by some of the most musically adventurous and influential artists and groups in Australian Music.

After years of experience working in venues and studios around Australia, Ross became the studio manager at Sony Music Studios followed a position at Sydney Opera House as head of AV.

Ross also worked as a freelance engineer for venues such as the Sydney Conservatorium, the ABC, and the Sydney Opera House to name a few.

 

 

WRITER   DIRECTOR

PETER McLEOD has been a professional writer since 2008 when he launched his first graphic novel at the inaugural Leeds Thought Bubble convention. Since then he has turned his focus to film making as a sought after writer and script doctor, writing for Arts and Mind studio, and the Yunnan Film Group.

Peter’s studies left him with first class honours in creative writing and a linguistics post-graduate certification, with his paper on psychoanalytic film structure forming the backbone of UDW’s Creative Writing Learning Lab workshops.

Passionate about narrative structure, and exploring the world around him, Peter is constantly developing new screenplays and narrative properties.

 

 

 

MUSIC COMPOSER   PERFORMER

MARIO MILLO is one of Australia’s most successful composers with a string of credits including A Fortunate Life 1986. Millo developed a successful career in television and film soundtrack composition and production, winning six industry awards for work in The Lighthorsmen 1987 GP 1989 Brides of Christ 1991 ( 2 awards ) See How They Run 1999 and Changi 2001. Brides of Christ won an Australian Record Industry Association ( ARIA ) Music Award in 1992 for Best Original Soundtrack Album.
